For fun I did a makeover, here is me with makeup on. I also wanted to try out a new much shorter hairstyle, because I plan to cut it after the wedding. What do you think?
Makeover
Life Begins At 40
Life begins at 40 - but so do fallen arches, rheumatism, faulty eyesight, and the tendency to tell a story to the same person, three or four times.
~ Helen Rowland quotes
Four Oh
When I met Erik it was quite interesting to be dating an older man, even if he rarely acted like it. Just knowing he had 10 years more experience than me was pretty cool.
- While I was dressing up like Madonna in the 80’s he was going to punk shows.
- When I got my first period he was getting married.
- When I became legal he bought his first house.
I find it amusing to remind him of these things sometimes especially because it really freaks him out. But really, he looks more like he’s in his twenties and he would rather play with Play-Doh than do just about anything else.
Despite all that the day has arrived, and we both knew it would come. When I met him he was 34 and I knew it was inevitable. No matter how young at heart he was and how many sneakers he drew on eventually one day it would happen. Today, is that day. Today Erik turns…
Whether he likes it or not, he’s officially an old man. Sorry
Life Is Just A Stage
It has begun to occur to me that life is a stage I’m going through.

DIY Help
I’m trying to find notecard boxes or something like that, I have no idea what they are even called. They look something like this:
It will only have one or 2 slots and you’d put notecards and pens in it. Does that make sense?
I need to buy ones similar to these to put on the tables at the wedding. We’re putting blank cards in them for people to fill out instead of a guestbook and we’ll put the cards in a scrapbook later.
Perrish The Thought
“I considered becoming a priest very seriously. I wanted to travel the world - and as a young Catholic it seemed the easiest way. By the time I turned 16 I realized I was only in it for selfish reasons, and there were easier ways to explore the world. And, more importantly, I didn’t want to sacrifice the ladies!”
- James McAvoy tells Britain’s Closer magazine
