Tricks or Treats

Are you giving kids tricks or treats?  If treats, what are you giving them?

We saw they had a bag of Playdough tubs available at Target so we got those, that way we don’t eat the candy and I think kids get more than enough candy from everyone else.

Usually we only get a couple kids anyway…we live in a cul-de-sac

What Was My Point?

I don’t post enough about me, I’m sure you all agree. All you want to know is my sordid details, I feel like Lindsay Lohan. This meme is all thanks to The Mutt Princess, so blame her.

1. I am really picky about food. I don’t like cheese with meat (and this is not a Jewish thing). I hate fat on my meat and will trim it off until there is like an inch of meat left to eat. Fruit makes me nervous because once I bite into a spot that is bruised the whole thing is ruined.

2. I have a very short attention span, just ask Erik. If there is a tv or computer on in front of me you do not have my full attention. In order to get my attention my best suggestion would be to start jump up and down screaming, that usually works and…what was I saying…

3. While I crave to be organized somehow I seem to make everything more complicated than it needs to be. That’s why I’m never really organized but always trying to be. It’s a vicious cycle.

4. I love calendars and I really love planners. Problem is I always forget to bring them with me or just stop using them. I end up buying a new one every year. Maybe if I picked one place to keep track of everything it would work but I have to have 5 places

5. I visit Wikipedia on a daily basis, I sure hope it’s reliable. I learn the majority of my knowledge from there and from Erik.

6. I have been wanting to dress up for Halloween for years. There actually was a couple costume I’ve wanted to do since high school but Erik and I decided to do a different one, one that suited us much more. Anyone have anymore guesses about the costume for this year?

Sorry for the confusion on the post yesterday, it got archived accidentally. It’s up now.

A Ball and a Stick

I’m not a baseball fan.

Actually, I’m not a sports fan of any kind. I like soccer ok enough but mostly because I think most soccer players are hot. Baseball though in particular is too slow for me and it just can’t keep my attention.

Living in Massachusetts I pretty much have to hide my feelings about baseball, it’s not quite as bad as being a Yankee fan but not caring about baseball gets you some pretty awful looks at times. You’d think I told them about my 16 year old boyfriend or something, sheesh!

But I do my best to get by in a very baseball driven state.

Sometimes during a big game I’ll quickly switch to the channel and I find myself happy when they score a touchdown.

I also get really excited when there is a slapshot, I cheer even though nobody knows what I’m talking about the next day.

Of course I hope the player doesn’t travel with the ball because we don’t want a time out or anything.

So don’t go giving me a hard time just because I missed the super bowl this past weekend, ok? Desperate Housewives was on, I’ll just have to catch it next week.

Before You Ask

No, I did not watch the Red Sox game but I had sort of meant to. I never really thought about when it would be or anything though.

No, I had no idea we won until I was in the car this morning and heard it on the radio.

Yes, I’m happy but not, I’m not peeing my pants in excitement.

No, I did not buy any furnature from Jordans but I kinda wish I did

Low Carb Monster

I don’t know what this world has come to and I think this may mean the end of the human race as we know it.  I never imagined it would go this far, I didn’t see this atrocity coming.

Were you aware that Cookie Monster is now cutting back on the carbs and eating more vegetables.  I mean, this is a character who was know for his love love of cookies.

Look what paranoid parents have done again! They need to stop blaming everyone else for their children’s problems.  If your kid eats too many cookies then get the damn cookies out of the house!

Wikipedia:

In 2006, in response to growing concerns about record levels of childhood obesity in the U.S.A., Sesame Street began airing segments entitled Healthy Habits for Life. In these segments, the Muppet characters of Sesame Street talk about healthy habits, such as eating right and exercise. The Healthy Habits for Life segments caused false Internet rumors that Cookie Monster’s name had been changed to Veggie Monster.

In a 2007 appearance on Martha Stewart’s TV program, Cookie Monster explained his new philosophy that “Cookies are a sometime food.” However, he promised that he was not going to change his name to “Brussels Sprouts Monster.”

What’s next? Give Bert and Ernie “beards” so they don’t confuse the kiddies?
