He’s the manliest man in manly land :mryoda: and today he’s 39. I want to clarify for him, he’s not 40 yet and many people think he looks like he’s in his late 20s. It probably helps that he never acts any older than he needs to in any given moment.

I don’t have a lot to say today, I’m kind of wiped out and there is still a lot of stuff I want to get done today before Erik’s bday dinner. I want to start putting down the tile, it’s not like it’s hard to put down vinyl

I went gown shopping yesterday and it went surprisingly well. I actually found 2 gowns I liked a lot! I’m still not done looking, I want to try every angle to find the perfect dress. It was actually the first dress and the last dress yesterday that were amazing and they were very similar.

In case Erik reads this post I really can’t post a picture but maybe I’ll put a private post just of that. It’s not a great picture since it was taken in a changing room with a cameraphone. I’m still happy though, I didn’t feel like a huge cake in these dresses, I felt sexy and sophisticated (as Gemini put it).

I must add that KK and Gemini were such huge helps during the day! They were honest and understood what I liked and what I just didn’t like. I feel good about this, really good.

Oh and we hung out with BIL and his wifey (Gemini) all night. We even did some karaoke from On Demand. I think maybe I can convince to redo Baby Got Back with Gemini for a youtube oneday, we’ll see

As you might know we’ve been working hard on our house and have come a long way. I thought for now I will show you the living room and how different it looks from when we started.

We knew when we bought this house there were massive changes we had to make in every single room, this place was a “fixer upper.” The living room was a hidious peach color with the worst tiling I’d ever seen. We got the hard wood flooring as a gift and Erik installed it himself (which he says he’ll never do again).

I have no energy to do anything but bullets.

• I’m cranky and PMSy. Also, it just so happens, Erik now knows when I’m getting PMSy and not just because I start slapping him around more often. He can tell I’m just generally feeling more bloated and unhappy than usual.
• I’m feeling a little more optimistic about wedding gowns. A place that has some of my favorite dresses does sizes up to 26 and I found some places that design your own dress for less than most ones you buy off the rack.
• I’ve been eating a lot of watermelon, it makes me really happy like a five year-old.
• Should I add another stipulation to the contest that prohibits anyone from winning it more than once every 3 months or something? I don’t know what to do, is just a crazy commenting whore.
• I love dried cherries, SO Yummy!!!
• I have no idea what to do about budgeting for the wedding. Things cost one amount, my parents think it’s all unreasonable and I have no idea what I’m doing.
• Something always seems to come up and I can’t get to the gym more than 3x a week, I’m going to have to find a way to sweat a little on the weekends
• Have you noticed my new spring outfit in my gravatar? I thought a jean skirt was a good choice for this time of year.
