Good night Pilot
No end or beginning
He who loses wealth loses much; he who loses a friend loses more; but he who loses his courage loses all.
-Miguel de Cervantes
Empty and calm and devoid of self
Is the nature of all things.
No individual being
In reality exists. There is no end or beginning,
Nor any middle course.
All is an illusion,
As in a vision or a dream. All beings in the world
Are beyond the realm of words.
Their ultimate nature, pure and true,
Is like the infinity of space.-Prajnaparamita
Looking for the silver lining
Still not dieting but working out more and trying to not center my life around food.
On a good note I had garlic chicken breast and brocolli for lunch yesterday and then on the way home got Wendys BUT only got a hamburger (no fries or coke)!
Yay for small victories!
Saturday is Me Day
So lately I’m alone on Saturdays (or most of it) and since I’ve gotten so used to spending the day with Sprout I’m going to need to learn to make the most of it for myself.
That shouldn’t be so hard but it’s harder than you think particularly when you get used to this day with another person. Of course my mornings will be spent alone with my coffee, veggie omelet, tv and doing some online fun stuff.
I think I’ll mix my day up with some relaxation, housework and exercise. If I stay in all day and do nothing I’ll feel like crap by 4pm.
Maybe I’ll even attempt cooking something for dinner for my Sprout!
A trip
“A trip is what you take when you can’t take any more of what you’ve been taking.” — Adeline Ainsworth
To brighten your liberal day
A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. Nothing is moving.
Suddenly a man knocks on the window. The driver rolls down his window
and asks, “What happened?”
“Terrorists kidnapped President Bush and are asking for a $10 million
ransom. Otherwise they are going to douse him with gasoline and set him
on
fire. We are going from car to car to take up a collection.”
The driver asks, “How much is everyone giving on average?”
“About a gallon.”
